QotD: This Totally Freaks Me Out

I have a long-standing, deeply-irrational, but no less real case of arachnophobia, which I have had for as long as I can remember. Reportedly, there was a time before this came to be, as said phobia did develop, but "something happened" when I was very young to cause this fear. I don't exactly remember what, though.
Needless to say, I don't get along with those eight-legged freaks. Their red phylummates which come from the sea, however, are more than welcome. Yum.
